Meet The Founder
Welcome to Humanitarian Career Consulting website!
My name is Chahrazed Anane, founder of Humanitarian Career Consulting (HCC). My journey began on the island of Djerba, in Tunisia. Passionate about justice, I studied law and political science before being sworn in as a lawyer. My path soon led me elsewhere, an expatriation to Jordan, an encounter with the International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC), and the start of a career in humanitarian aid that was to last over 15 years.
From mission to mission, between Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, I have managed programs, coordinated teams and projects at local, regional and global level. I am experienced in every stage of the humanitarian career lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to career progression and transition. I have lived human experiences of unparalleled intensity. But if someone had asked me where I saw myself in 5 years' time, I wouldn't have known how to answer. Like many humanitarians, I didn't have a career plan-just one opportunity after another.
Over the years, I have seen too many colleagues burn out, feeling lost and unsure of their next step. I realized that our industry teaches us everything... except how to manage our own trajectory. I decided to remedy this by creating Humanitarian Career Consulting .
That is why HCC exists: to help humanitarian aid professionals structure their careers, make strategic choices, and find a path that makes sense for them.
I launched HCC with the intention of helping humanitarian professionals build meaningful, sustainable careers.
